Four Ingredient Easy Croutons
How to make easy croutons for salad or snacking! Munch straight from the pan, or drop them into your favorite soup.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf sourdough bread
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cut the bread into one inch cubes. You can tear it if you prefer.
- Put cubes in a big ziplock bag or a large mixing bowl.
- Add olive oil, salt, and pepper, and mix or shake well.
- Put cubes onto a baking tray, and bake at 350° for about 20 minutes, stirring them occasionally. Remove from oven when they browned to your desired color.
Notes
Want to add more flavoring? Try adding one of these to the cubes before baking:
- Mince some garlic;
- Sprinkle some nutritional yeast;
- Try using powdered popcorn flavoring, like nacho cheese;
- Use half melted butter and half olive oil;
